- 11th Annual SAWA Awards Luncheon
The 11th Annual SAWA Awards Luncheon will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010
at Noon at the Ramada Hotel in Saskatoon. Nominations for awards will be
accepted until August 15, 2010.

It is with regret that I share the news of the death of a true friend of Saskatchewan wrestling. Bruce Pearce, principal of Campbell Collegiate and former wrestling coach, died in a motorcycle accident on July 8, 2010.

The board of directors of the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame recently
announced Gil Wist as one of the five athletes, along with five
builders and one team, all of whom will be inducted into the hall during
the induction ceremonies at TCU Place on Saturday, Nov. 6. >>more

Past President of the Saskatoon Wrestling Club and close family friend. Al's involvement in wrestling began with his daughter Pam and extended to major organizing committees for Cadet and Juvenile National and Senior National Championships, Canada West and CIS National Championships. His friendship and dedication to wrestling will be greatly missed.
